Hello sir/madam. I grew up for the most part in Visakhapatnam in a lower middle-class environment (though now I would classify ourselves as an upper-middle class family). My parents are currently settled in Visakhapatnam where they run their business. My grandparents live in their ancestral farmland near Karur, Tamil Nadu. I studied for my bachelor's and master's in chemical engineering at a premier institute in Chennai, post which I worked in Hyderabad for 3 years. Then I moved to Paris in pursuit of my Ph.D. now I work in Switzerland at Novartis as a process scientist and soon will be moving back to Paris to become an associate professor. I am a person who values relations, family, and friends. I belong to a nuclear family (single child to parents who live in India). I have traveled a lot and met people from a lot of different cultures and ways of life. Liberal-minded and a strong believer in social justice. Also, I believe in a strong, independent woman whose career should be given... more equal importance as any man's career.
