Hello and thank you for taking the time to check my profile :)
I am a doctoral candidate studying Statistics at Iowa State University (only final defense is pending and expect to complete by Dec 2025). I teach undergraduate Statistics courses too and recently received teaching excellence award :)
After completing my education in India (M.Sc. Statistics), I worked in Nielsen (Social Sciences Research) and Birla Sun Life Insurance (Actuarial Valuation). I completed MS (Statistics) from San Diego State University (2017-19) before transitioning to Ph.D.
In my leisure time, I like to read and swim. I have taken a liking to running over the past 5 years and run regularly (and hope to run a marathon someday).
Being a foodie, I absolutely love (and enjoy) to cook. I adore Corgis (all doggos (woof) for that matter, but my love for Corgis is unrivaled) and wish to have one in the future.
After PhD, I intend to work in a research-oriented... more job (ideally banking sector) and would be flexible to move anywhere within the U.S.
To my mind, patience and trust are the most critical traits necessary to nurture a fruitful and lasting relationship.
Simultaneously wearing the hat of a student and an instructor, I have experienced that being kind and a little flexible creates an environment that maximizes the chances of students' success and I try to extend it beyond the classroom too.
Thanks for reading through and Best wishes :)
